Put-in-Bay’s scenic camping sites always offer an enjoyable, peaceful vacation getaway.

Excluded from the downtown noise, and only a golf cart ride away, both camping sites on the island are great for family-oriented fun. The South Bass Island State Park is one of the Crown Jewels of the State of Ohio’s Camping facilities.

The park is the largest of the camping facilities on the island and there are sites that are considered primitive (no electric) and there are 11 sites that feature electric with water and sewer hookups. For those site with no sewer, there is a dump station.

Cabins are also available for rent thru a lottery with the State of Ohio and are rented by the week. The State Park has a modern boat ramp and ample parking for boat trailers and their tow vehicles. While camping at the State Park you will likely want to rent a golf cart as it is located on the back side of the island, a minute golf cart ride to town and the grocery.There are picnic areas as well as playground equipment for the children and everyone’s favorite, a pebble beach with a swimming area. Fox’s Den Camping

Fox’s Den is centrally located just to the east of the Put-in-Bay Airport and is privately owned and camping is by reservation only. Some campsites are primitive while others offer water, sewer, and electrical hookups. For primitive campsites, there are shower facilities and washers & dryers.The southern end of the campgrounds has a view of Lake Erie. The contact number is 419-285-5001 for reservations
