Getting to Put in Bay OH on South Bass Island is half the fun. Read on for info on how to get to PIB island and how to get around once you're there.

The Jet Express

The Jet Express is the fastest way to Put in Bay! With ports in Sandusky, Port Clinton, Put in Bay and Kelleys Island, the Jet is known for getting people to where they need to be in record time. The Jet will drop you off in downtown Pu tin Bay; get off the boat and you will be in the heart of some of the island's best shops, bars, restaurants and lodging. You'll be sure to enjoy the ride over, as you pass seven Lake Erie islands and hear some local history. Sit outside on one of three decks or stay inside in one of the passenger lounges.

The Miller Ferry

The Miller is the only Put in Bay ferry with both passenger and vehicle service. Leaving from Catawba Point, it stops at both Put in Bay on South Bass Island and Middle Bass Island. If you choose not to bring your car over (and we suggest that you don't), the Miller offers free parking in Catawba. Kids under 6 ride free.

The Sonny-S

The Sonny-S is the perfect ferry for bopping around between Put in Bay and Middle Bass Island. In just seven short minutes, you can go from the dock on Middle Bass (near the ruins from Lonz Winery) to the dock at Put in Bay, right downtown near The Boardwalk. With service until midnight on Fridays and 1:00 a.m. on Saturdays, you can party on both islands and not worry about missing the last ferry back.
